Forecast

On Monday, high pressure will again return to us! Yesterday’s low pressure area will shift southwards with its bands of clouds and precipitation and at the same time, drier air will move in. Chances are good that the sun will gain the upper hand in the course of the day!

Trend

The name of the high pressure area that is forming is Xander. Xander is strong enough to control the European weather for quite a while! We will therefore experience a good deal of sunny days and mild temperatures. The wind on the mountains will be very weak.

Salzburg Austria

Salzburg is located at just over 400m in altitude in a bowl on the northern side of the Alps. Salzburg's low situation in a fertile valley and with close access to the mountains and trade routes meant that it was quickly settled (archaeological remains discovered date back to the Stone Age). To the north lie the hills and meadows across the border in Germany, to the east is the popular tourist destination of the Salzkammergut lakes and mountains, to the south the river valley rises to the nearby higher mountain resorts, and to the west are the mountains around the German resort town of Berchtesgaden.
