Linz Austria
Linz is the capital city of Upper Austria and, with around 190,000 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Austria. Linz lies at an altitude of 266m on the banks of the Danube in the Linz basin. The fertile areas around the city to the south separate the city from the main east-west motorway route and the start of the higher mountain ranges beyond the town of Steyr. On the other three sides, the woods and fields of the Mühlviertel stretch out to the Czech and German borders.
