St Anton Austria
St Anton is one of Austria's most renowned ski resorts located at an altitude of 1300m in the Arlberg region on the western edge of the Tyrol. The town of just under 3,000 inhabitants lies in an open area of the Stanzertal and at the foot of the Arlberg Pass and the border with the province of the Vorarlberg. The road up and over the Pass rises to the west, while the entrance to the Arlberg Tunnel - the pay route through to the Vorarlberg - is a little way off to the east in the direction of Landeck and Innsbruck. Mountains form the barrier to the north and south.
