Sölden Austria
Sölden is the most popular resort in the Ötz valley high in the mountains to the south of the main Inn valley in the Tyrol. The village has around 3,000 inhabitants and is located in a wider and sunnier section of the otherwise narrow valley at an altitude of just under 1400m. The glaciers and mountains of the Ötztaler and Stubaier Alps form barriers to the east and west, while the road along the valley floor rises to the south giving access to the villages of Obergurgl and Vent or to the north and the direction of Innsbruck.
