Obertauern Ski Conditions (winter only)
Obertauern Austria
Obertauern is a settlement at the top of a mountain pass in the province of Salzburg. It is best known as a ski area - the altitude of 1730m means that it can boast one of the highest starting points for a winter resort in Austria - and as a centre for high altitude training and testing. Obertauern is split between two local authorities (the border runs literally through the resort) and is accessed via a road to the north in the direction of Salzburg and the south in the direction of Carinthia.
