The weak foehn winds which picked up at higher altitudes yesterday will remain with us today. Nevertheless, cold polar air has penetrated into the Mediterranean region and will slightly influence our weather here, too. Despite the southeasterly airflow, Friday will thus be only moderately warm. It will however be dry and sunny.
During the next few days, the foehn winds will persist and it will therefore be bright and dry. Temperatures will become milder, particularly on the mountains.

Obertauern Ski Conditions (winter only)
Obertauern is a settlement at the top of a mountain pass in the province of Salzburg. It is best known as a ski area - the altitude of 1730m means that it can boast one of the highest starting points for a winter resort in Austria - and as a centre for high altitude training and testing. Obertauern is split between two local authorities (the border runs literally through the resort) and is accessed via a road to the north in the direction of Salzburg and the south in the direction of Carinthia.
